Tachometers normally come as 2 types, one is optical whereby a the tachometer puts out a beam of light and this is picked up by reflective tape on the shaft, we can calibrate to within 1 RPM of the true shaft speed. Mechanical Tachometers either operate as an Optical tachometer internally or as a series of cogs and wheels eventually giving you an indication of RPM on a dial we can calibrate these to within 3 to 4 RPM.
We clean your instrument, check fuses, replace battery (if required) and check test leads (if supplied) then carry out a verification in accordance to the Manufacturers Specifications (if available).
