Signal Clamp induces signal without making electrical contact
Ground fault locating with optional A-Frame accessory (AF-600)
Comes as complete kit, ready for use
Three testing modes:
Passive power mode (50/60 Hz) – Tracing energized lines conducting current (no Transmitter necessary)
Passive radio mode (RF) – Using surrounding radio waves to trace underground utilities (no Transmitter necessary)
Active mode – Using UAT-600-T Transmitter
Three active modes with UAT-600-T Transmitter:
Induction – Transmitter will automatically start to radiate signal around it with internal antenna, used for tracing individual cables where there is no access to line to connect test leads or clamp
Direct connection with test leads – Most reliable method to trace individual cable or pipe
Clamp – Provides efficient and safe method of applying locate signal to cable, where it is not possible or safe to gain access to cable for making electrical contact
Main applications:
Locate energized 50/60 Hz cables carrying current
Identify location of all metallic utilities, pipes* or cables (energized or de-energized)
Trace individual pipes* or cables (energized or de-energized)
*Tracing of non-metallic pipes and conduits is possible after inserting metal fish tape or cable
Special applications:
Two frequency options: 8 kHz and 33 kHz
Locate non-metallic pipes and sewer lines
Take depth and current measurements
Measure voltage, resistance and output current
Advanced locating with two people
Locate ground faults with the AF-600 A-Frame accessory
Applications
Commercial and Residential Construction Contractors
Water, Gas and Electric Installation and Repair Crews
Work directly on an energized circuit without the need to take equipment offline, CAT IV 600 V rated
Save time searching for wires hidden behind walls, ceilings and floors with the Smart Sensor™, which displays the location and orientation of energized wires
Pinpoint wire location with the large color LCD Receiver screen
Identify breakers and fuses, as well as the location of a break, open or short
Non-Contact Voltage Detection utilizes passive tracing without the Transmitter to verify if a wire is energized
Includes the CT-400 Signal Clamp accessory for inducing a tracing signal on the cable when there is no access to bare conductors
