- Three active modes with UAT-600-T Transmitter:
- Induction – Transmitter will automatically start to radiate signal around it with internal antenna, used for tracing individual cables where there is no access to line to connect test leads or clamp
- Direct connection with test leads – Most reliable method to trace individual cable or pipe
- Clamp – Provides efficient and safe method of applying locate signal to cable, where it is not possible or safe to gain access to cable for making electrical contact
- Main applications:
- Locate energized 50/60 Hz cables carrying current
- Identify location of all metallic utilities, pipes* or cables (energized or de-energized)
- Trace individual pipes* or cables (energized or de-energized)
- *Tracing of non-metallic pipes and conduits is possible after inserting metal fish tape or cable
